We finished the first book of Edith Nesbit's trilogy, Five Children and It. And, I immediately went to Amazon to order the second book, The Phoenix and the Carpet. I can't say enough about Edith Nesbit's magical style of writing. And, upon reading her books you can't help but realize how many writers she has influenced.
